Design Statement
While reading the text, I was struck by the phrase “gossamers of woe” which reminded me of the threads of fate. Fate and destiny are strong components of Greek mythology and I felt the threads of fate in this particular tale are rage, death, and a beautiful woman with golden hair. The cover design is an abstract representation of these three forces and how they are forever entangled. The endpages represent the way we seek answers and how the ancient Greeks often looked to their gods for guidance and to the heavens for signs.
